The incident took place on Friday, August 9, in the morning, in Trzebień (Bolesławiec commune). The 82-year-old cyclist, a resident of our county, rode off the pavement directly into the path of an oncoming Mercedes driven by a 33-year-old man from the Greater Poland Voivodeship.
A collision occurred, as a result of which the 82-year-old was injured. The senior was taken to hospital with hip and head injuries.
The rider was cautioned. We appeal for common sense and caution on the road.
