The Lower Silesian police garrison has welcomed new officers into its ranks. On 30 July, 47 police officers—including 10 women—recited the oath of office, with one of them to serve at the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
Oath:
I, a citizen of the Republic of Poland, aware of the duties I am undertaking as a police officer, solemnly swear: to serve the Nation faithfully, to protect the legal order established by the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, and to safeguard the security of the State and its citizens, even at the risk of my life.
In carrying out the tasks entrusted to me, I solemnly swear to diligently observe the law, remain faithful to the constitutional organs of the Republic of Poland, observe official discipline, and carry out the orders and instructions of my superiors. I swear to protect secrets connected with the service, its honor, dignity and good name, and to observe the principles of professional ethics.
The oath documents were presented to the police officers by the Provincial Police Commander, Police Inspector Tomasz Trawiński. Since the beginning of 2019, a total of 167 officers have joined the Lower Silesian Police.
