Another emergency operation involving the services took place on a viaduct. On Monday, before 6:00 p.m., a man appeared on the viaduct, at the height of Wiadukt Plaza. At one point, he climbed over the barrier and began leaning dangerously outward.
When firefighters arrived at the scene and began deploying the air rescue cushion, the man returned to the tracks and moved toward the river. After a while, he climbed over the barrier again. This time, at the Bóbr River. The firefighters deployed the air cushion at the new location.
Several fire service units, police and an ambulance crew are at the scene. A second air cushion has also been deployed. Train traffic has been halted.
Update 7:45 p.m.
After almost two hours, the police detained the man. He will be taken to a psychiatric hospital.
