Officers from the Zgorzelec traffic police, patrolling Road No. 296, where accidents continue to occur, noticed a motorcyclist. The man was riding unpredictably: he accelerated sharply and overtook on a solid double line. In an area where the speed limit is 50 km/h, the speeding offender raced at… 183 km/h.
The officers stopped the rider for a check. It turned out that the 27-year-old from Lubań County did not have the required licence to ride a motorcycle.
The 27-year-old lost his category B driving licence, received 15 penalty points and will have to pay a PLN 1,000 fine.

Since the beginning of the year, as many as four accidents have occurred on provincial road 296. One person was killed and four were injured. Throughout Zgorzelec County, officers have stopped 171 drivers who exceeded the speed limit by more than 50 km/h in built-up areas.
