Many fans of good music and entertainment gathered on the sports field in Bolesławice. On 31 May, not only children but also repatriates and their family members celebrated in the village near Bolesławiec.
Although the weather was not kind, folklore enthusiasts had no reason to complain. The fourth Balkan Festa featured 11 groups. Performing on the stage in Bolesławice were Milikowianki, Zespół Śpiewaczy z Ocic, Podgrodzianki, Nasza Biesiada, Zagajnik, Nad Kwisą, Niespodzianka, Kapela Herbutów, Mała Jutrzenka and the well-known Gminny Zespół Pieśni i Tańca „Jutrzenka”.
The evening's star was Karpati from Republika Srpska. Due to the bad weather, the dance performance did not take place on the small stage as previously planned. Nevertheless, the group's dancers and musicians thoroughly enchanted the Bolesławiec audience.
For years, events commemorating the return of large groups of expatriate Poles to their homeland have been held in Bolesławiec County. Many residents of our county still cultivate the customs, rituals and culinary traditions of those places. South Slavic songs are still remembered and sung. For this reason, events with a Balkan theme remain consistently popular both in Bolesławiec and in the surrounding municipalities.
After Karpati's performance, a dance party was held. Fans of Balkan culture danced until three in the morning. The event was organized by Gminny Ośrodek Kultury i Sportu w Bolesławcu.
