Łukasz Król, an officer of the Prevention Department of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, once again took on a very difficult challenge. The police officer participated in the 16th Rzeźnik Run in the Bieszczady Mountains, which, to make it more difficult, is completed in pairs. The maximum distance that runners in a pair may be from each other is 100 m.

“The Rzeźnik Run” is considered one of the most difficult races in Poland. Mental strength and cooperation were the keys to success.

The competitors set off at sunrise and had 80 km to cover. The route was very demanding, with many uphill and downhill sections.

Initially, approximately 8 km along a paved road to Duszatyn, and then along the red trail: Chryszczata – Żebrak Pass – Wołosań – the village of Cisna – Małe Jasło – Jasło – Okrąglik – Fereczata (1,102 m above sea level). Then along “Mirек’s Road” and over the following peaks: Paportna, Rabia Skała, Okrąglik, the Pass above Roztoki, Rosocha, Hyrlata, Worwosoka, and then along the red trail to Cisna.

A total of 640 pairs took part in the run; only 463 completed it, including representatives of Bolesławiec County.

Congratulations, and we wish you further success.
