The Carnival of Cultures in Berlin is under way. The weather has been kind. The Clay People are parading in the sunshine. “The sun shines on good people” – this was the content of an SMS the Clay People received from their friends in Bolesławiec. – We have always been extremely lucky when it comes to the weather – says Clay Person Rafał Klimek from Opałkowa Chata, who is photographing the parade this year. – I would not like to use the word miracle, but there is something about the heavens favoring us – Rafał adds.
Buses from Bolesławiec arrived in Berlin at around 10:00. Axel Eisenblaetter, a friend of the Clay People, coordinated preparations for the group’s parade on site. The Clay People changed clothes, painted themselves and, as always, delighted the photojournalists who had gathered in large numbers to photograph the extraordinary heroes of the Berlin parade.
Berlin television station RBB was waiting for the group and the organizers of Gliniada. The station’s journalists are preparing a longer feature about the guests from Bolesławiec.
The Clay People encourage readers of the IstotneInformacje.pl portal to keep their fingers crossed for the grand finale, during which the individual groups are judged. We are hoping for the highest possible placing.
