The Municipality of Bolesławiec signed an agreement on 9 December with a consortium comprising Societé Anonyme Francaise d'Etudes et de Gestion from France and Baltic Project Consulting from Latvia concerning the Contract Engineer and technical assistance for the project implementation office responsible for modernising the sewage system in Bolesławiec.

The engineer for Bolesławiec, selected through an international tender, will administer and manage the project in close cooperation with the Beneficiary (the Municipality of Bolesławiec) and the Implementing Unit (the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management).

The Contract Engineer will also support the activities of the ISPA Project Implementation Office in obtaining the necessary documents and opinions, monitoring the project’s finances, identifying potential technical, financial and legal problems together with proposals for preventive and corrective measures, and updating the database used for the systematic preparation of mandatory reports.

The value of the signed contract is €738,000. Funding for the Contract Engineer will come from the municipal budget (40%) and the ISPA fund (60% of the service value).

Societé Anonyme Francaise d'Etudes et de Gestion from France is a consulting and design company that has for years provided services to state administration, local governments and private investors in the field of environmental protection investments related to public utilities.

The Latvian company Baltic Project Consulting Ltd. is involved, among other things, in preparing and monitoring projects in accordance with European Commission requirements, as well as in the economic evaluation of business development and investment projects.
