The event will be preceded by a Saturday meeting with Anna Kozłowska-Ryś, author of the book “Lviv: Sweet and Semi-Dry”. The meeting with the author will take place on Saturday, 29 June, at 4:00 p.m. at the Community Centre in Żeliszów.
The Sunday celebrations on 30 June will begin with Mass at the church in Żeliszów at 1:00 p.m. After Mass, at around 2:45 p.m., flowers will be laid beneath the obelisk in Żeliszów in memory of the first settlers from the Kresy. A procession will then set off, led by cavalrymen, heading straight to the sports field. There, artistic performances will be held by the groups Oktawa and Rezonans from Ukraine, Kyczera, 7Kropka and Fudżijamki, as well as the local ZPiT Ziemi Bolesławieckiej, GZPiT Jutrzenka and the Żeliszów Ensemble.
A special attraction will be a presentation of the Lviv speech known as bałakanie, as well as equestrian displays by cavalrymen. The event will conclude with a dance party. Żeliszów is truly worth visiting.
