As PKP PLK reports, the summer timetable adjustment enables the introduction of summer train travel offers to the mountains and the seaside. The changes make it possible to run trains according to schedule and carry out the largest railway investments in years, worth almost PLN 70 billion. The results of the work—in addition to trains returning to modernised tracks—include new stops, such as Rzeszów Zachodni, and new platforms, including on the Częstochowa–Zawiercie and Chybie–Sumina routes.

Mirosław Siemieniec, press spokesperson for PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A.:

We remind passengers that it is worth checking the timetable before travelling. On Sunday and Monday, June 9 and 10, special information staff will be available to passengers at the largest railway stations in Poland. Detailed information about the train timetable is also available at stations and stops, online at portalpasazera.pl and rozkład-pkp.pl, and on carriers’ websites.

And he adds:

The train timetable adjustment introduced on June 9 will remain in effect until August 31. For the summer travel season, the infrastructure manager and carriers have prepared a range of connections taking into account the capacity of the railway network. Travellers are already benefiting from the first results of the work. Transport connections in urban areas and regions are improving, as is the standard of service at stations and stops. Travellers are gaining better access to rail transport.
