A resident of our city informed the editorial office that, when it comes to nursery places, the situation in Bolesławiec is terrible:
A woman at one of the nurseries told us that in BC, a child is enrolled in a nursery when the pregnancy is being planned, or at the latest on the day of birth.
“There are no enrolments in our nursery facilities when a pregnancy is being planned, because for several years now enrolments have been handled through an electronic system,” explains Bolesławiec deputy mayor Kornel Filipowicz.
And he adds: “The register of nurseries and children’s clubs also includes: Słoneczko Nursery, with 15 places, and Nikomariko Children’s Club, with 18 places.”
Will there be a nursery in the former library building?
“The possibility of leasing the former library building on Sądowa Street is being considered. The building has a volume comparable to MPP No. 4, which is located on the same street,” emphasises Piotr Roman’s deputy.
The city plans to put the former Municipal Public Library building out to tender for nursery purposes. According to Deputy Mayor Filipowicz, after renovation it could accommodate approximately 100 children.
