According to Mariusz Lickiewicz, on Sunday, May 19, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., traffic disruptions will occur in Gromadka Municipality due to the partial closure of the Gromadka – Osła – Różyniec – Krzyżowa – Gromadka loop (along county roads nos. 2285D, 2270D, 2272D and 2269D).
In the direction described above, traffic will be allowed provided that drivers exercise caution, reduce their speed, follow the supervision and instructions of the traffic-control services, and use the right-hand side of the road. In the opposite direction, namely Gromadka – Krzyżowa – Różyniec – Osła – Gromadka, traffic will be closed.
The above restrictions, of course, do NOT APPLY to emergency services.
Let us recall that Dog's Head Predator Race is the largest event of its kind in our area. As part of the Via Dolny Śląsk series, cycling enthusiasts will compete in Gromadka on May 19. The event is organized by the Road-Racing.pl Association from Bolesławiec and Via Dolny Śląsk. Local activists are also supporting the initiative.
“The race route is located in Gromadka Municipality and guarantees exciting, fast racing on excellent-quality asphalt roads,” says Bartosz Kasprzyk, the event’s co-organizer, who, together with his Road-Racing.pl teammates, has been developing the idea of a race in this area for several years. “Last year, Dog's Head Predator attracted 105 cyclists despite unfavorable weather. Cyclists came, among others, from Warsaw, Zakopane, Kraków, Sosnowiec and Poznań—in short, from all over Poland.
He adds:
This year, the event has gained stature, and we expect between 380 and 450 participants.
We also invite spectators—there will be plenty to watch. Cycling competitions mean adrenaline and excitement.
The first competition of its kind!
The Bolesławiec County Road Cycling Championships will also be held during the race in four categories:
- Fun Open Women’s Distance
- Fun Open Men’s Distance
- Pro Open Women’s Distance
- Pro Open Men’s Distance.
The prizes are funded by the Bolesławiec County Office.
This will be the first competition of its kind in history. It is attracting great interest among local cyclists.
