Just a few days ago, the police informed various offices and institutions, as well as schools, that a series of false alarms could occur this week, with the aim of paralyzing the conduct of the secondary-school leaving examinations.

Officers appealed to school administrators to remain cautious and calm in such a situation. Nevertheless, every report of an alarm was checked thoroughly and meticulously, and pyrotechnic inspections were carried out at the schools.

Officers from the Central Police Investigation Bureau considered the information sent about the alarms to be of low credibility and not requiring evacuation—all the alarms turned out to be false. (It is worth emphasizing, however, that final decisions concerning evacuation are always made by the facility administrator.)

What are the investigators doing?

A special group of police officers is identifying those responsible for the false alarms. The police remain in constant contact with the Central Examination Commission, while the chief of police keeps the minister of the interior and administration informed on an ongoing basis about the actions being taken.

The idiots responsible for all the confusion could face up to eight years in prison. They may also be held financially liable.
