The incident took place last weekend in Zagrodno. Officers from the Złotoryja traffic police stopped a Toyota for inspection. It was being driven by a 21-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County.
The Toyota driver was travelling at almost three times the speed limit in a place where the limit is 40 km/h—nearly 120 km/h.
The man explained to the officers that he was driving at that speed because… the weekend had begun.
The 21-year-old from our county lost his driving licence for three months and also received a fine and 10 penalty points.
