The European Picnic marking the 15th anniversary of Poland’s accession to the EU will take place on 1 May 2019 in the amphitheater in the Municipal Park. Here is the program:
- 2:00 p.m.
- performance by the BOK–MCC guitar studio
- European Song Contest
- announcement of the results of the art contest “The Most Famous Buildings in the European Union”
- performance by Goat's Spleen
- 4:00 p.m. – official opening of the EUROPEAN PICNIC
- “Ode to Joy” – the anthem of the European Union performed by choirs from Bolesławiec: Cantate Deo, Kamerton, Srebrne głosy; the Choir of the Association of Reemigrants from Bosnia, and the University of the Third Age Choir
- Zespół Pieśni i Tańca “Mały Bolesławiec” – a medley entitled National Dances
- Canon i Canonki – performance by the BOK–MCC hip-hop dance studio
- Bolesławiec Municipal Brass Band
- 7:00 p.m. “Three Tenors and One Woman” – a classical concert entitled A Musical Journey Through Europe
- 8:30 p.m. 4-EVER BAND – the greatest hits of European popular music.
Additional attractions:
- CULINARY SHOW: cooking sour rye soup in a large cauldron and bread-baking workshops. Finale with refreshments at approximately 5:00 p.m.
- Classics from the City of Ceramics – a vintage car show
- Play Town – recreational and sports activities for children.
Accompanying events:
- Market Square – open-air exhibition “Bolesławiec 2004–2019 – 15 Years in the European Union.”
