On Friday, May 15, a conference devoted to establishing a psychiatric ward for children and adolescents was held at the Provincial Hospital for the Nervously and Mentally Ill in Bolesławiec. Local government officials and employees of the provincial hospital attended the meeting.
The ward will open at the beginning of July. It will have space for 20 patients. However, hospital director Janina Hulacka is not going to rest on her laurels: – We want to create an entire psychiatry centre for children and adolescents.
One element of the planned centre is a therapeutic and educational facility. The first facility of this type is being established in Lubiąż. If it proves successful, more will be created. Janina Hulacka and Cezary Przybylski, chairman of the Convention of Counties of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, declared that they would do everything possible to open such a facility in Bolesławiec.
