On April 10, 2019, Bolesławiec residents commemorated the victims of the Smolensk disaster. At 8:41 a.m., the first delegations arrived at the Plaque Commemorating the Victims of the Smolensk Disaster on Kubika Street to honor the victims of the aviation disaster, lay wreaths and bouquets, and light candles.
Those gathered included representatives of local government authorities, uniformed services, associations, organizations and political parties. The 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec provided the honor guard.
