BKS Bolesławiec fans were bitterly disappointed on Saturday afternoon. As part of the 20th round of the IV league, our team lost 2:3 (1:1) to Sparta Rudna at Spółdzielcza. The goals for our team were scored by Marek Majka and Kamil Skiba.

The beginning of the match and the entire first half did not suggest a bad outcome for BKS Bolesławiec. Our players attacked their opponents from the start and quickly gained the upper hand. We repeatedly attacked Sparta Rudna’s goal. Marek Majka and Daniel Ziółkowski had good opportunities, but we failed to capitalize on them. In the 29th minute, we took the lead. Daniel Ziółkowski made a good run down the left and supplied Marek Majka with a good pass. Popularly known as Maja, he does not usually waste such opportunities and put BKS Bolesławiec ahead 1:0. Unfortunately, seven minutes later Sparta Rudna scored accurately on Bartosz Bochnia’s goal during a goalmouth scramble, making it 1:1. Before the break, we managed to score again, but the referee spotted Marek Majka in an offside position. We went into halftime level at 1:1.

Unfortunately, the second half belonged to the visitors, while we performed very poorly. We were unable to create a good opportunity, and Sparta Rudna launched several dangerous attacks. In the 62nd minute, the visitors took a 2:1 lead, and our club’s situation became difficult. Although BKS Bolesławiec tried hard to make up the deficit, our lack of accuracy made it look like the proverbial attempt to bang our heads against a wall. When the visitors extended their lead to 3:1 in the 84th minute, it became clear that we would not win the match. Kamil Skiba did score a goal in added time, but there was too little time left to equalize.

Next week, a difficult test awaits our footballers. BKS Bolesławiec will play away against IV league frontrunners Odra Ścinawa.

BKS Bolesławiec – Sparta Rudna 2:3 (1:1).
