Our Reader asked us to publicize the matter after drawing attention to the poor condition of the road from Bolesławiec to Kraśnik. In an email to the editorial team, he wrote: “See what the road surface looks like, and how narrow it is. At 20 degrees, the asphalt sticks to bicycle wheels. Ask around: why, for how much, who did such shoddy work, and what guarantee did they provide?” He added: “It drives me crazy that the guarantee cannot be enforced. And all of it is paid for with our taxes.”
– This road is being reconstructed – explains Anatoliusz Koper, deputy head of the District Roads Authority. – The difficulties may continue for a little while longer because the section has not been renovated for 30 years.
According to the official, the fact that the surface sticks to the wheels is a temporary effect. – After 3–4 months of use, the road becomes rough – Koper emphasizes. – Besides, in my opinion, the road has been done very well. As the investment’s supervising inspector, I have no objections to the contractor.
The road renovation is scheduled to be completed at the end of July.
