Heavy equipment has entered the construction site. Grunwaldzka Street is being reconstructed up to the intersection with Tamka Street. In total, 110 metres of roadway and sidewalk will be rebuilt. The exit from Sądowa Street onto Grunwaldzka Street will also be reconstructed. It is currently one of the most critical and busiest stretches in Bolesławiec. The roadway is too narrow, and traffic jams often form. Drivers have difficulty turning right, from Grunwaldzka Street onto Tamka Street.
The work is being carried out by the Municipal Communal Services Department.
What will be done?
The sidewalk will be completely removed, while the roadway will be levelled, reinforced and covered with new asphalt. After the renovation, the roadway will be wider; an additional traffic lane is planned for vehicles turning from Sądowa Street towards the intersection.
The traffic lights will be reconstructed. In addition, MZGK will build a pathway in the park and a new entrance to the courthouse's rear facilities.
