The incident occurred on Wednesday, 6 March. The duty officer of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police received a telephone report concerning a dead raccoon dog that was allegedly lying on the pavement on Kilińskiego Street.
A Municipal Police patrol was dispatched to the scene. As it turned out, the raccoon dog was alive; it was simply severely weakened and dehydrated.
Using a specialist net, the municipal police officers captured the mammal and handed it over to a veterinarian, who provided it with the necessary medical assistance.
