A Reader called us and informed us that the residents of Bema wanted a bus stop on their street. (They even submitted a petition to the city authorities on the matter.)

The result? Since February, the buses of the Municipal Transport Company have started running along Bema Street. Running, but not stopping, because there is no bus stop there yet. “The bus runs along Bema, but what good is that if it does not stop here?” the Reader wonders.

He adds that the bus stop from Mostowa Street could have been moved.

As Andrzej Jagiera, president of MZK, explained to us, a resolution of the Bolesławiec City Council is needed for a bus stop to be established on Bema Street, and it will probably be adopted at the Council’s February session. (The agenda for Wednesday’s session includes a vote on a draft resolution “amending Resolution No. XVI/114/11 of the Bolesławiec City Council of 23 November 2011 concerning the designation of public transport stops owned or managed by the Municipality of Bolesławiec, made available to operators and carriers, and the conditions and rules for using these facilities.”)

It may be assumed that the resolution will be adopted. Then a new bus stop will appear on Bema—and it is quite possible that this will happen as early as Wednesday afternoon—and MZK buses will begin stopping there.

(The bus stop from Mostowa cannot be moved because it is still included in the Bolesławiec City Council’s resolution.)
