For many hours, they prepared refreshments for 900 participants in the Integrative Christmas Wafer Gathering for People with Disabilities, decorated the hall, arranged the tables, and built and decorated the altar. After the gathering, they also cleaned up until late at night. These were the volunteers whose efforts made everything go wonderfully.
A 200-person group of students from county schools, soldiers from the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, scouts, artists and instructors from the Youth Cultural Centre, and employees of the Children’s Friends Society—the county governor and the County Council thanked them for their great commitment and generous hearts.
This was the 19th edition of the Wafer Gathering—the largest event of its kind in the Legnica Diocese. It is already known that next year’s gathering will be a jubilee event.
Volunteers. They never refuse to help and bring hope that the world is not so bad after all.
