Two police officers from the Traffic Division of the police headquarters in Bolesławiec were detained by officers from the Internal Affairs Bureau of the National Police Headquarters. The detention took place on April 27. The police officers are suspected of accepting a financial benefit of PLN 50.

The detained officers have been suspended from performing their duties. The case has been referred to the prosecutor’s office. An investigation is underway. If the allegations of accepting a bribe are confirmed, the police officers will be dismissed from service. They also face a prison sentence of between 6 months and 8 years.
