On Thursday evening (10 January), BKS’s older junior team trained at the Orlik pitch on Jana Pawła II Street in Bolesławiec. Toward the end of the training session, a group of around 10 people appeared near the pitch. Suddenly, the group began running toward two young BKS footballers. One of the juniors was training in a Miedź Legnica shirt because he had previously attended trials at the club.

The frightened boys began running toward Tysiąclecia Avenue. The attackers shouted and ran after them. Fortunately, they failed to catch them, and the incident ended with nothing more than a scare. According to an eyewitness, the attackers were wearing balaclavas bearing symbols associated with Zagłębie Lubin supporters. The matter was reported to the police, who arrived at the scene.

It is no secret that supporters of Zagłębie Lubin and Miedź Legnica are not fond of each other, but is that a reason to attack a 17-year-old junior who has a chance to play in a higher league and was training in Bolesławiec wearing a Miedź shirt?
