When the substantive part of the Bolesławiec City Council session began, the mayor Piotr Roman pointed out that Impuls Miasta councillor Dominik Chodyra was recording him with a phone placed on a tripod.

A break was called, after which Jarosław Kowalski, chair of the Bolesławiec City Council, took the floor. The Council head stressed that he had often been attacked in recent years (for example, his name had been distorted). He said that all it took was for someone to take a freeze-frame when his eyes were closed. Then information would spread that Kowalski was sleeping during the session.

The discussion was joined by Łukasz Jaźwiec from the Nonpartisan Local Government Officials club, who said that a cultured person, when wanting to record someone, first asks that person for permission.

Ł. Jaźwiec: – You want to turn the Bolesławiec City Council meeting into a happening. It is a method leading nowhere. The session is being recorded anyway.

The Council chair blocked councillor Chodyra’s phone... with a bouquet of flowers.
