Before the January session of the Bolesławiec City Council began, officials from the Municipality of Bolesławiec honored two former heads of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec: junior inspectors Dariusz Borski and Ryszard Podbucki.

President Piotr Roman: “I would like to thank you for your difficult work for the Bolesławiec community. We all know that the situation involving the police is difficult. But thanks to your work, Bolesławiec is considered a safe city. It is somewhat sad that we are parting ways, because you are both in the prime of your lives.”

Dariusz Borski: “I am leaving with a sense of having fulfilled my duty well.”

The local officials also welcomed the new police chief—Inspector Norbert Kurenda. The new head of the Bolesławiec police said, among other things, that his most important task would be to build a new police headquarters.

He added that he had been a resident of Bolesławiec County for 20 years and was emotionally connected to this land. “It is a great honor for me,” he stressed.
