The incident occurred after 8 p.m. on Tysiąclecia Avenue in Bolesławiec. A 46-year-old woman from Bolesławiec was driving a Ford out from behind one of the apartment blocks. She struck one vehicle and narrowly avoided hitting another. She wanted to escape and rammed the traffic lights at a pedestrian crossing.
The drivers of the vehicles mentioned above caught up with the woman and wanted to stop her. She drove back to the apartment block to escape. Police officers called to the scene detained her.
The woman was aggressive, insulted the officers and wrestled with them. The police used force, but it was clear that they treated the woman very carefully.
An ambulance was called to the scene.

The woman lost her driving licence. Officers detected the smell of alcohol on her, but the suspect refused to take a breathalyzer test. Her blood was therefore taken for testing.
If it is confirmed that the woman drove the Ford while intoxicated, she could face up to two years in prison.
