In May 2018, the Municipality of Bolesławiec participated in a competition procedure announced by the Ministry of the Interior for the implementation of the government program for reducing crime and antisocial behavior, “Together More Safely,” named after Władysław Stasiak, for 2018–2020.
The Bolesławiec project was selected for funding from the special-purpose reserve secured in the state budget. As a result, the Municipality of Bolesławiec received funding of PLN 50,000 for all activities included in the project.
On November 22, 2018, the Safe Toddler Olympiad was held in the sports hall of Primary School No. 1. Since its inception, the Olympiad has consistently aimed to raise awareness among the youngest children and sensitize them to the basic principles of road safety, familiarize them with the principles of first aid, and develop environmental awareness through learning how to sort waste.
Fifteen teams from public and non-public preschools in Bolesławiec took part in the event, with a total of 150 competitors.
As always, there was no shortage of enthusiastic support from fans who came to accompany and cheer on the young competitors.
