The incident took place on Tuesday, November 27. The asphalt collapsed on Kosiby Street in Bolesławiec (near the Żabka store). Municipal police officers were at the scene, directing traffic until employees of the Bolesławiec District Roads Authority marked the dangerous area.
It is a miracle that no one was hurt. If a truck had been driving through here, it could have ended in tragedy.
The section of the lane where water washed away the ground beneath it has been closed to traffic. Be careful along this stretch!
