The volunteer firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Service in Czerna (Nowogrodziec municipality) decided to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence in a special way.

As we read on the Facebook profile of the volunteer firefighters from OSP KSRG Czerna:

Our unit also decided to commemorate the 100th anniversary of regaining independence. In connection with this, we met on Saturday and planted 100 linden trees for Independence in our locality.

In addition to the firefighters, members of the local Youth Fire Brigade, firefighters from the partner unit FFW Crosta, as well as Grzegorz Kocon, former head of the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec, and Józef Gumięga, president of the Regional Association of Polish Beekeepers, took part in the initiative.
