The incident occurred on Thursday, November 8, at around 8:00 a.m., on Wybickiego Street in Bolesławiec. We were notified about it by a Reader, who wrote in an email to the editorial office:

A roof tile fell from the building under renovation and became embedded in a car [...]. Every day, a great many children pass through this place.

Indeed, the falling roof tile damaged the hood of a car parked near Primary School No. 4 in Bolesławiec. It was noticed by the students of “the fourth school,” who showed great responsibility and immediately informed the school’s headmistress, Edyta Kwiatkowska.

The headmistress notified the police and immediately asked the construction manager to halt the work and secure the site. (The work remains suspended.)

As we managed to establish, the construction manager immediately undertook to secure the site and cover the losses.

We hope that a situation of this kind will not happen again.
