The City of Ceramics no longer has an obelisk commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Polish People’s Republic.

Bolesławianka Housing Cooperative—in consultation with the authorities of Bolesławiec and the voivodeship—plastered over the inscription on the monument located opposite the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Bolesławiec (Łasicka Street).

This was, of course, related to the decommunization law, under which, among other things, the names of Bolesławiec streets Marian Buczek and II Army of the Polish Army were changed.

The cooperative intends to install its own plaque here, probably commemorating Bolesławianka’s recently celebrated 50th anniversary. The plaque may appear on Łasicka Street later this year.
