Within a few days, two cases of corruption among doctors were revealed in Bolesławiec. The allegations concern accepting bribes in exchange for fabricating false documents. Fictitious medical documentation is not as spectacular a fraud as counterfeit banknotes, and it is also difficult to expose. However, false medical certificates sooner or later involve illegal money, such as pensions extorted by perfectly healthy patients or reimbursement for medicines purchased with fictitious prescriptions.
