On Thursday, April 16, Ewa Lijewska, director of the Bolesławiec Cultural Center, and Piotr Wieczorek, president of the Wrocław branch of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers, signed an agreement on organizing the International Ceramic-and-Sculpture Symposiums in Bolesławiec.

Under the agreement, BOK is to provide artists with suitable conditions for creative work and organize post-symposium exhibitions, among other things. ZPAP, meanwhile, will provide artistic patronage for the event, appoint the symposium commissioner, and help organize post-symposium exhibitions in Wrocław.

In August last year, we wrote that another prestigious undertaking in Bolesławiec was at risk of dying out. The reason? ZPAP had stopped endorsing the International Ceramic-and-Sculpture Symposiums. In an interview with Radosław Gajewski, commissioner of the 44th Symposium, Krzysztof Gwizdała suggested that the lack of cooperation with the Association of Polish Artists and Designers could deprive the Symposiums of their prestige. A discussion on the subject broke out at the time. BOK decided to cooperate with ZPAP.
