On Friday, October 19, a gala for the Best Vocational Teacher competition was held at the Old Theatre in Bolesławiec. The event was organized by the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Businesses and Powiat Bolesławiecki.

The aim of the competition is to identify craft businesses that comply with legal labor protection and occupational health and safety rules when employing young workers and that, while implementing practical vocational training programs, achieve the highest quality in students’ vocational education.

The distinguished group of nominees, selected from among 173 vocational teachers, included:

  • Katarzyna Cołokidzi running the “Petrochemia” Restaurant, providing training in the profession of cook
  • Kamila Lubczyńska running PHU “LOK,” providing training in the profession of hairdresser
  • Barbara Niedoszytko running the “SZYK” Hairdressing Salon, providing training in the profession of hairdresser
  • Weronika Bitowska running Terma-Kork S.C., providing training in the profession of sales assistant
  • Wojciech Farbotko and Mariusz Wojciechowski running P.P.H.U. “VIKTORIA,” providing training in the profession of sanitary networks and installations assembler
  • Grzegorz Matoryn running “PROART,” providing training in the profession of photographer
  • Rafał and Elwira Walera running PHU BARTOSZ, E!STILO, providing training in the profession of building construction and finishing works assembler
  • Andrzej Deberny – Tire Service – providing training in the profession of motor vehicle mechanic
  • Artur Rogalski running a General Construction Business, providing training in the profession of building construction and finishing works assembler
  • Andrzej Radliński running PU-H, providing training in the profession of motor vehicle mechanic.

At the request of the Board of the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Businesses, the Lower Silesian Chamber of Crafts awarded decorations for training students in crafts:

We Know the Best Vocational Teachers!

The best vocational teacher was Artur Rogalski. Second place went to Katarzyna Cołokidzi. Andrzej Deberny took third place. An award was presented to Wojciech Farbotko.

The ceremony was enhanced by performances from PSP students Beata Janus (accordion; student of Bogusława Kłak) and Berenika Stelmaszek (piano; student of Lidii Jopp), as well as vocalist Tomasz Musialik, a geography student at UWr and graduate of Bolesławiec’s II LO. The gala was hosted by Katarzyna Biegasiewicz-Mularczyk, spokesperson for Powiat Bolesławiecki, Maciej Pronkiewicz, deputy head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport at the District Office, and Karol Kowalski, owner of craft hairdressing salons in Bolesławiec and Jelenia Góra.
