The first meeting took place on 14 September this year at Primary School No. 2, and the last on 28 September this year at Primary School No. 3. In addition to schools in Bolesławiec, police officers also visited the School and Preschool Complexes in Bożejowice and Kruszyn.
The police officers reminded the children, after the summer break, how to cross the road correctly and safely at a place without traffic lights. They also discussed the meanings of the individual traffic-light colors with the students. The topic of travelling to school by car and bicycle was also addressed, and there was no shortage of questions. The children eagerly volunteered and actively participated in the meetings.
The campaign was additionally accompanied by mascots: Police Commissioner Lion, Ant and Dolphin. The children received reflective armbands and coloring books.
The practical activities were the most popular, however: crossing the “zebra crossing” with Ant and a presentation of a police car. Naturally, the sirens and flashing lights were a big hit.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the Police, the School Principals, Ant and all participants.
Special heartfelt thanks to the officers: Mariuszowi Białowąsowi, Robertowi Kuśmierczakowi, Bogusławowi Zawrotniakowi, Michałowi Czarnocie and Arkadiuszowi Gali.
A big round of applause for the mascots: Ant – Patryk Mech, Dolphin – Dariusz Kruszakin and Commissioner Lion – Dariusz Kotylak.
We now warmly invite you to vote for the children’s artwork on FB Mrówka Bolesławiec. Attractive prizes are waiting. The winners of the competition will be those whose works receive the most likes.
