On September 20, students of Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych w Bolesławcu took part in two events of the 21st Lower Silesian Science Festival: the 2nd Wrocław Dictation conducted by Professor Jan Miodek and the lecture “Politeness and Impoliteness in Interpersonal Contacts” at the Department of German Studies. The presentation was delivered by Dr. habil. Joanna Szczęk.
The “Handlówka” community:
The aim of the trip was to promote knowledge among young people. Such an initiative is intended to demonstrate that knowledge is connected with the process of civilization; thanks to it, humanity’s place in the world is reinforced.
In addition, the Festival provided an opportunity to learn about educational initiatives in the region. Students from our school have already participated several times in this important event for Lower Silesia.
This year’s trip was organized by German teacher Katarzyna Krukar, with Polish teacher Małgorzata Orzoł serving as chaperone.
