The unveiling of a plaque commemorating former Minister of National Defence and Democratic Left Alliance activist Jerzy Szmajdziński, who died in the Smolensk air disaster, will take place on Tuesday, 9 October outside the Bolesławiec SLD headquarters (Opitza Street).
The ceremony will be attended by Aleksander Kwaśniewski, former President of the Republic of Poland.
The plaque was funded by the SLD District Council, as well as J. Szmajdziński’s colleagues and supporters. The invitations are extended by Stanisław Chwojnicki and Piotr Roman.
The ceremony begins at 2:00 p.m.
