On Friday, September 21, the XXVII Bolesławiec Three-Day Bridge Tournament officially began in the gymnasium of the I Liceum Ogólnokształcące.
The event was opened by Bolesławiec County Head Karol Stasik, president of the Bolesławiec Bridge Club Jarosław Molenda, Deputy County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak, director of the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre Jacek Dudyński, and head of I LO Cezary Czernatowicz.
The tournament—as its name suggests—will last three days. Among Poland’s leading bridge players is the outstanding actress, a star known, among other roles, from the television series “Ekstradycja” and the film “Pułkownik Kwiatkowski,” as well as an avid bridge player, Renata Dancewicz.
The well-known actress is visiting our city for the first time. Asked what draws her to Bolesławiec, she replied simply: “Bridge, company and ceramics.”
