ZSOiZ is a school with a 50-year tradition. Its main strengths are its highly qualified teaching staff (including OKE examiners accredited by the Regional Examination Board in Wrocław) and its modern technical and educational facilities.
The General and Vocational School Complex educates global citizens who are able to meet the challenges of the modern era. The school successfully carries out EU-funded projects. At the beginning of November 2008, fifteen fourth-year students of the Hotel Management Technical School left for a one-month internship in Chemnitz, Saxony. ZSOiZ students received Europass Mobility certificates, which will certainly help them find work in Poland and other EU countries.
The institution focuses on education in a friendly atmosphere. It provides education based on innovative curricula and teaching methods. ZSOiZ—as the first school in Poland!—created simulated companies modeled on real production, commercial, catering and service businesses.
The school provides a high standard of vocational and general education, as well as a wide range of extracurricular activities, including classes that develop students’ artistic talents and prepare them for external examinations.
Knowledge of foreign languages is an opportunity for a wonderful future. The institution offers its students German and English in the general secondary and technical school classes, and German in the vocational school. Technical school students also learn a vocational foreign language. During vocational placements at companies throughout Poland, students have the opportunity to learn from the best while promoting the school and the region through their conduct. ZSOiZ students participate in international cooperation projects and go on foreign internships. The Bolesławiec school has also hosted students from abroad, including from Asia and America. The school has received the Bolesławiec Mayor’s award for promoting the city three times.
ZSOiZ is about more than learning. The institution offers sports and recreational activities in the gym, fitness room and on the school sports field, as well as attractive subject-related and sightseeing trips and sports camps.
