The incident took place on Sunday, September 2, at around 7:50 p.m. in Brzeźnik. The motorcycle rider, a 23-year-old from the City of Ceramics, was overtaking a cyclist, a 28-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality.
A collision occurred, injuring the 28-year-old woman. The woman, who had a broken arm and a leg injury, was taken to hospital. (The injured woman was drunk; she had 0.58‰ of alcohol in her system.)
The accounts given by both participants in the incident differ considerably. Police are currently determining who was actually responsible for causing the accident.
The 23-year-old did not have a license to ride a motorcycle.
