Experiencing the world with all the senses is one of the most valuable experiences of childhood. Children love touching, looking closely, feeling and even tasting the world. That is how they learn about it. One of the best activities is getting dirty freely and without restrictions—indeed, getting completely covered in mud.

In the City of Ceramics, during the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival, children will be able to do this in a pool filled with clay slip at the Glina Show town. The slip is completely safe for the skin. If parents also want to cover themselves in clay together with their children, they will be able to do so. Washbasins and changing rooms will be available by the pools with slides. The messy and happy children can be washed and changed.

Take part in Glina Show

We encourage you to play with your children and take part in the Glina Show parade. Together with the children, you can prepare a simple costume, paint yourselves with clay slip and become a ship’s captain, pirate, fairy, princess or superhero. Playing together with children builds bonds, gives them support and—as paediatricians and psychologists demonstrate—helps them develop resilience, optimism and the ability to overcome adversity. Such play is also a new experience that we gain together with the child.

When does the activity take place?

  • Glina Show town on 18 August (Saturday) from 10:00 to 15:00 (pool, washbasins and changing rooms, parade costumes)
  • Glina Show parade at 15:00 (formation) and 15:30 (start)
  • Fun at the Holi Festival of Colours town at 16:00 (end of the parade)

The Glina Show project is co-financed by the Office of the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
