He called our editorial office:

Bolesławiec has public transport and new buses. Very nice indeed. The problem is that speed bumps cannot be used on routes served by buses. This follows from a regulation issued by the Minister of Infrastructure. The exception is table-top speed bumps, but there is only one such bump in Bolesławiec – by the cemetery.

The man added that he was primarily concerned about the condition of the new vehicles belonging to the Municipal Transport Company:

The new buses are low-floor vehicles; they will quickly be damaged.

We asked Andrzej Jagiera, president of the Municipal Transport Company in Bolesławiec, for comment. The head of MZK admitted that, in his opinion, there are many speed bumps in the City of Ceramics and that he would prefer there to be none. But it is not the case that city buses cannot cope with them. Drivers simply have to drive over them more slowly. (Unfortunately, this lengthens travel time.)

What do you think? Is it good that there are so many speed bumps? Or do they annoy you? We invite you to join the discussion.
