We received an SMS from a Reader:
Hello! Why is the national flag [w piątek 20 lipca – przyp. istotne.pl] flying from the skyscraper today? Do we have a new national holiday?
We asked the spokesperson for Bolesławiec City Hall, Agnieszka Gergont, for comment. The spokesperson explained that, first, some government administration tasks are carried out in the building, and second—and even more importantly—this year we are, after all, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence. The presence of the flag is therefore entirely justified.
