The Lower Silesian Mountain Running Festival took place in Lądek-Zdrój from July 19 to 21. Bolesławiec resident Daniel Milewicz took part in the extremely demanding 7 Summits Run.

To finish within the time limit, participants had to complete the entire route within a maximum of 52 hours. Our ultramarathon runner finished 43rd overall (out of 250 competitors), while in the M3 age classification he placed 13th with a time of 46 hours and 28 minutes.

“The race was very difficult because of the route profile,” D. Milewicz told istotne.pl. “The race started in torrential rain, which did not let up until around 4 a.m. In the higher parts of the mountains, fog appeared in addition to the rain, limiting visibility to 5 m. On Friday and Saturday, however, temperatures reached 27–30 degrees, so the conditions on the route were very varied and extreme, and this could be felt. More than 140 competitors withdrew during the race—which shows the caliber of this event.”

Congratulations!
