A resident of Bolesławiec went fishing at one of the popular bodies of water on the outskirts of Bolesławiec. While he was already fishing, he heard the sound of sniffing. Suddenly, the fisherman saw two wolves. The animals appeared about 20 metres away from him. Tomasz does not hide that he was afraid and surprised. As he describes it: he froze in his chair and watched to see what would happen. Meanwhile, the wolves looked at him for a moment, then drank some water and went on their way. The man suspects that the wolves had ventured so close to the town while tracking roe deer. Earlier, when he was travelling to go fishing, he had seen a large herd of roe deer—around 15 animals.
What does the resident of Bolesławiec advise in the event of a similar encounter with wolves? Above all, remain calm. Tomasz says that these are wild animals, they are cautious, and they had certainly been observing him earlier, before he saw them. In the resident’s view, wild animals do not simply approach people and attack without a reason.
