On the night from Saturday to Sunday (7–8 July), more than 4 hectares of forest burned near Węgliniec. Firefighters from Bolesławiec also took part in the hours-long firefighting operation. We wrote about this fire in the previous report.
Due to repeated arson attacks in forested areas near Węgliniec, Węgliniec Forest District has decided to offer a reward of PLN 10,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the above-mentioned fires.
Information or evidence that could help identify the perpetrator may be provided to the Zgorzelec County Police Headquarters or the Police Station in Pieńsk in person, as well as by calling the police at 997 or 112.
