Let us recall that a tremor of identical strength occurred in November 2016 near the site of today’s incident. Eight people died then, and nine were injured.
“I felt rocks falling onto my back” – Paweł Piwowarski told us in an interview, having survived the rockburst in 2016. The falling rocks bruised him, but his condition was good. “I tried to get out. I was retreating from that place,” he recalls of the nightmare that occurred underground in 2016. He adds that he knew the miners who died in the disaster at the Rudna mine.
