On Wednesday, March 11, the district-level qualifiers of the 9th “Pegazik” recitation competition, addressed to pupils in grades 4–6 of primary schools, were held at the Stanisław Wyspiański Youth Cultural Centre in Bolesławiec.
Thirty reciters qualified for the district stage. The competition jury (comprising Katarzyna Pranić, Urszula Frąszczak-Matyjewicz and Marek Łętowski) decided to award two main prizes and three distinctions.
The competition winners were Jessica Mierzwa from the Primary School in Brzeźnik (for an excellent interpretation of Maria Terlikowska’s poem “Ziółko”) and Justyna Szabłowska from Primary School No. 3 (she recited Leon Zdzisław Pokorski’s text “W odpowiedzi na wiersz”). The jurors also gave distinctions to: Justyna Kozioł from the Primary School in Parowa, Kamila Kamińska from Primary School No. 4 in Bolesławiec and Klaudia Wilk from the Primary School in Gościszów.
Both winners of this year’s competition have qualified for the provincial qualifiers, which will be held on April 27 in Kłodzko.
